Married to Michele Zajac Hospital Administrator and Facilities Manager. Mark is passionate about his work at the clinic and his family. He and Michele have 1 dog and 4 cats. In his spare time Mark enjoys being outdoors.
Dr. Michele Zajac graduated from Lackawanna Trail High School and attended the University of Scranton. She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1993. She then began working for other veterinary practices in the area while developing her mobile practice. In 2001 Bunker Hill Veterinary Hospital, P.C. was established in Nicholson, PA, offering care for both large and small animals. She opened her current practice in Factoryville, PA in 2003. Her husband Mark helps to keep the office running smoothly. Dr. Michele Zajac enjoys spending time with their dog and 4 cats, gardening, eating, and playing the guitar. Leslie Green has been in the veterinary field since 2010. She recently graduated from Johnson College. She has 3 horses, 1 pony, 2 dogs and a cat.
Kelsey Burgess has been in the veterinary field for 10 years. She has a BS degree in Animal Sciences from Penn State University with a minor in equine studies. Kelsey is currently taking classes through Penn Foster. She has 2 horses, 2 cats, 1 dog and a rabbit. She loves to ride horses, hike, fish and travel.
Sherry Thompson has been in veterinary field for 9 years, prior to that she worked in human medicine. Sherry has 6 pets at home. In her spare time she loves riding her horse Brandee.

Jackie Hogan has been in the veterinary field since 2007. She previously worked in New York and Florida where she also volunteered at the Jacksonville Zoo. She has 5 cats and enjoys swimming, hiking, traveling and fishing.
Garret Harvey is a graduate of Kings College and has been with BHVH for over a year after an extended period of volunteer work. He is currently attending the Univ. of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine where he’s studying to become a veterinarian. Garrett loves spending time with his 4-year old son Shea. He also enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. And he’s also a big Flyers fan and an outstanding baseball player.
Karla Kovaleski has been doing Animal Rescue for 25 years with some background in the veterinary field. She has 2 dogs, 2 indoor cats, 17 outdoor stray cats and an African Grey Parrot. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, gardening, fishing and playing guitar.
Lisa Dixon has been in veterinary field since 1984. She has been involved with many rescue groups. She currently has 6 cats and 1 dog. Lisa enjoys motorcycling and travel.
Sue Hughes has worked in the veterinary field for 10 years. Sue loves animals and has 6 cats and 1 dog. She enjoys taking long walks with her dog and relaxing at home with family.
Onyx “The Wonder Dog” has been Dr. Michele and Mark’s faithful companion for more than 13 years! Earlier in her career, Onyx was a therapy dog at Golden Living Centers but she is now enjoying retirement with all of her friends at BHVH. When you see her, remember that she just loves a snack and a little attention!
